Islamic Weddings in Bosnia

Bosnian Weddings are proud to be working in association with the Islamic Community of Bosnia. Working together we can assist with the arrangement of Islamic weddings all over Bosnia.

Islamic weddings are conducted in accordance with Sharia Law by an Imam. The ceremony usually takes place in a mosque, or the home of the parents and relatives, but can take place anywhere in Bosnia that the newly-weds wish. The terms of the marriage will be arranged with the Imam.

The first condition of having an Islamic wedding in Bosnia is for you to firstly to perform a civil marriage.

Further conditions of marriage are that the witnesses of the marriage must hold to Sharia Law:

• Must be Muslims themselves;
• Must not be children;
• Must be of sound mind and not insane;
• Cannot be fully deaf, and must be able to hear the offer and acceptance of marriage;
• Must not be drunk.
